I had a Fuller's/Gale's Seafarers and a Fuller's ESB. Both were in reasonably good condition. I did not eat, but I noted the basic burger was £8.95. This is a good basic pub, doing, at least during my one visit, what it says on the tin. on_tap - 21 Sep 2011 09:30

I have to agree about the quiz. I haven't had so much fun since I can't remember when.. The quiz master really is something a bit special. It was by no means easy but so interesting and well researched- with plenty of humour. Can't recommned it enough! LeighRolfe - 31 Jan 2011 21:18
In line with the positive comments I have to recommend the Thursday night quiz. As a quiz obsessive myself, I have to say this is possibly the best in London (at least on a par with the legendary Kings Arms on Tooley Street). The quiz master has even been known to sing the advertising jingle round when the speakers broke down. He's like a cross between Jeremy Paxman and Eddie Izzard. better still the questions are really varied and all seem to be properly researched. A real antidote to the off-the-web jobs that seem depressingly common. It's a friendly crowd too. alexander - 6 Jan 2011 02:18
This pub has changed a lot, it is clean and tidy with character. It has a range of good draught beers that are kept well. There is a restuarant area and a drinking area. Food is reasonably priced and of a good quality. The drinking area has a large tv to watch sporting events, although usually football (I prefer rugby and most other sports!). The bar staff are efficient and friendly. Outside the beer garden is quiet and away from the road which barely sees many cars anyway. It has a play area for children and is fantastic during summer. Overall an excellent pub the only down side is the beer is a bit pricey. gazzo4u - 30 Dec 2010 13:22
