As someone else said, this is alright for a Wetherspoon's. The beer selection is OK. Food is the usual freezer food choice, but the price is right. They've always been pretty friendly to us when we've had extended family lunches there. The garden is nice in the summer. I'll go back.

Pretty good pub as Wetherspoon's go with a nice garden at back and tables and chairs at front. Always a good range of real ales available and the usual varied Wetherspoon menu. Friendly staff who do their best but not enough of them. It is not unusual to wait 5 mins or more to be served even when the pub is not busy. If it wasn't for this I would give this pub a 2 or 3 point higher rating.

Has more of a proper locals pub feel than the usual Wetherspoon conversion. The best Wetherspoon in the area, ales usually very well kept and has the benefit of a garden at the rear.

A slightly better Wetherspoons than the Man in the Moon at Stanmore. But there wasn't anything too special about this one, apart from the fact that it had a beer garden at the rear. There are also tables at the front. The interior has a couple of skylights to brighten it up. A banknote collection is displayed in frames near the entrance, whilst there is artwork towards the rear. In common with many Spoons, the tables are sticky. Service was a little tardy. Although the pub was busy. The real ale range extended to Daleside Old Lubrication, Roosters GCB, Nethergate Barfly Special, Loddon Ferrymans Gold, Courage Directors, Marstons Pedigree, Ruddles Best and Greene King Abbot Ale. The real cider on offer was Weston's Marcle Hill.

My two friends and I come to eat most weeks here and enjoy good food at a reasonable price. Curry night on a Thursday is very popular, but we usually don't have to wait long. The bar staff, although somewhat surly in the past, are friendly and polite now, and I would not hesitate to recommend this pub.
