| Just re-opened, with new Manager and staff. Made to feel very welcome in a relaxed atmosphere. Two large but not over-imposing tv screens and a pool table, with food due to be introduced soon. The new Manager(Rachael), was very accomodating, and appeared to be enjoying her job to the full, which came accross in the service provided. The bar was exceptionally clean and tidy, as were the toilets. Situated very close to the town centre amongst many other pubs and bars(a few of which we visited), held its own above the rest and in my opinion shone out as being more open to all walks of life(Gay, Straight, Young and Old), making everyone feel welcome. | Bit dirty but a good old fashioned pub. Older age group but very friendly, people actualy talk to you in here. Dog friendly, they have a couple of huge beasts themselves. forresearchpurposesonly - 16 May 2006 02:59 |
