Ground floor bar has a big screen for the footy although bizarrely all the seats are spread out round the edges of the pub leaving a massive empty strip in front of the screen consisting of people getting in each other's way. That said the beer was OK and the bar staff capable. Didn't stay too long after the footy but it is very convenient to Earls Court and a lot less pretentious than the Kings Head round the corner (which doesn't show the footy). With a front door and a side door you'll be in a constant draft from smokers going in and out - a modern day hazard of the public house. extraordinary - 13 Jun 2008 17:47

Place has changed a substantial amount since last visit, not is split into two rather like The Windsor Castle in Clapham! aleman - 12 Aug 2007 01:39
Must have chosen the wrong night to avail of the pub's charm and atmosphere. The charm was of the lesser variety, probably due to the shouty woman looking for a fight at the bar. Eventually she was asked to leave, I believe. The atmosphere consisted of a table or two of VERY LOUD BLOKES IMPRESSING THE LADIES competing with some of the most indistinguishable "rock" tunes I've heard. The table we had the fortune to plonk ourselves down at was covered with ash and litter. Fair play to the staff who were admirably courteous and friendly. I think I'd lose my mind working in this hell hole. I left with a headache and a feeling of disappointment. Sorry. E1_Norton - 12 Jun 2007 12:22
I was freezing my balls of the other day in dirty ol' Earl's Court when I spied this cheeky looking boozer opposite the tube (well kind of opposite if your head is wonky!).It looked pretty busy so I ventured in and waited at the bar for no more thatn twenty seconds when a fit young lady served me a great pint of hand pulled bitter. I left six hours later having made chums with all of the staff and manager, with a warm glow in my cheeks, a phone number for a potential date and a favourite watering hole for next time I hit Earl's Court. Top notch, tally ho! N.K.K.Jones of Devon. Ten out of Ten Shame about the hangover next day.... monkeyboysupreme - 29 Jan 2007 19:57
