Owner has applied for planning to convert to a private house. Probably a good idea since it's been a financial disaster for the last few owners who have run it as a pub.

Still not sure about this place. It's been painted inside but there's still a poor selection of drinks and no real ale. Maybe, maybe not......

Seemed like a bit of a youth club, with kids milling about all day drinking 7up. The tenant was nice enough, but that was the only positive. It just seemed messy, with PA bits just stacked up in the corner & broken windows fixed with chicken wire in the toilets. 2 lagers out of 3 on (Stella/Carlsberg), no bitters on & no atmosphere either.

Been in twice over the past few weeks and it’s been almost empty both times and has the air of a place that’s on its way out. On both occasions the two beer pumps were turned around, but then again I probably wouldn’t trust the ale in a place so quiet. Not sure what the plans for the place are but with Guinness at £3.20 they’re not going to attract too many customers. It’s a shame really as it’s a decent building and could have some potential.
