Good pub with great beer. Any pub that sells Timothy Taylor Landlord must be okay.

Decent ale selection. The wife was happy here until she needed to use the Ladies. I have been informed that they are shocking!!!!!

NOTE TO SITE ADMINISTRATORS - AS other people have already pointed out, the pub pictured here is The Market Porter, NOT the Old Shades

Good little pub and stands above most in the area. Excellent beer, quality and good value food, staff are right on the ball - even when busy it's easy to get served and they keep the floor well run (you don't end up sitting at a table surrounded by a sea of empty pint glasses).

John Prescott was in here when I went in but it's still a decent pub. It's shockingly easy to stack it down the staris to the blokes toilets if you get wellied though. I speak from experience.
