| Don't go here! It's grubby and unwelcoming and the beer has been poor the times I've visited. Very strong windows though - an open window survived my head. And probably many others - opened right across the steps to the beer garden. That's about the only way this place will knock you out. | I'm ashamed to say that despite passing this pub twice a day on the way to and from work for nearly 20 years,yesterday was my first visit. A good range of beers served by an eccentric barman. With the outward appearance of Elmer Fudd he does serve a good pint and is quite knowledgable about each of the brews. It is comfortable place with ample parking and a nice terrace for use in clement weather. I will return and, hopefully, sample the cooking. almost_an_old_git - 8 Oct 2005 21:00 |
