Bitters included Brakespeares, Archers and Timothy Taylor Landlord. I tried the Archers and TTL but neither were any where near as good as I have tasted elsewhere. I was also offended by the very aggressive manner of one of the staff members. It is a shame because Denham is a very pretty village and still worth a visit. Fortunately there are two other pubs just a few yards away. grayler - 23 May 2008 11:06
My wife and I called by The Falcon Brasserie for a lunchtime sandwich last week. The printed menu advertised a small variety of sandwiches including cheese and pickle but on ordering we were told that the chef had no pickle and they offered us cheese and onion or tomato instead. Fine not a big issue and we paid our £9.00 and went to the garden (littered with posters telling customers what they can't do!) and after a long wait our food arrived. Plain wholemeal value bread of poor quality with a few lettue leaves and a couple of crisps as accompaniment. I had eaten one of my quarters and my wife had had a couple of bites of hers before she complained to me that they tasted off. On investigation there was green mould on the bread! Not a nice thought at £4.50 a round. They were replaced by similar sandwiches and an apology but the bread was hard and on complaining to the manager again he said it was a new loaf he had seen the chef open. If they want to make nice sandwiches and sell them for £4.50 a round I suggest really nice fresh crusty bread and not 'value' bread; and an attractive salad. anonymous - 9 Nov 2007 13:10
Denham is just the most gorgeous English village and you really must check it out. As for its pubs, the Falcn Inn is my favourite, for its beer garden alone, but also there was this fit Scandanavian or continential blonde girl working in there to add to the experience! ha ha! Shame though, the lemonade she served me tasted more like fizzy water, but I seemingly stupidly had lemonade from thee again, and it was much nicer! Grub is nice. Unable to comment on the beer though, so I guess to many, my post for this pub is pretty damn pointless! danmantanshameboutvan - 25 Sep 2006 11:59
Sat in the "garden" over a couple of drinks on a lovely evening. Very pleasant. Friendly staff and good service. Keep meaning to go back and try the food.......... Davidd - 9 Jun 2006 16:15
The beer is excellent. The food is good but perhaps a bit pricey. However, you need to watch out as they will offer to bring your drinks to your table and then wack you for a 10% "optional" service charge. I know it's "optional", but if the practice was visible in the bar area I certainly did not see it! And come on... this is a pub! peterboulton - 3 Nov 2005 16:16
