I was a regular here for many years.I enjoyed the beer and food especially on quiz nights when there was plenty of inter team banter. Sadly I moved away but was pleasantly surprised when returning recently to find the same landlords still lots of familiar faces and although there have been a few changes they were all to the good. Still the best pub and home cooked steak pie for miles around.

I have had several meals here over the years and used to think it was good. The last couple of visits I have been disappointed with sub standard meals and the staff appeared bored.Never again unless someone treats me.Beers are not bad though.

Great Pub one of the few traditional country pubs left. Great food, good friendly service, exceptional beer garden an all round great place to visit.

What a real disappointment this pub turned out to be despite it's lovely location. The food was very poor. The fillet steak, which I paid almost £14 for, turned out to be a rather sorry looking portion with soggy chips. When the nozzle fell of the vineger I attempted to use, and flooded my food I was told by a rather aggressive landlady, that it was the previous customers fault.

All in all a really unsavoury experience. I will not be using this pub again and would encourage anyone else visiting Denham to use one of the other lovely pubs in the village.

We used this pub recently and despite the glorious village location and splendid decor of the pub were severely disappointed. The food was very under par and over priced. The portions were small and badly cooked. When challenged we were told to go to the restaurant next door if we wanted better food. The management were surly and aggressive. Pub food should be good and hearty and value for money at £14 the fillet steak was a childs portion accompanied by one slice of cucumberone tomatoe and very poor chips. I am busy spreading the word to all my chums to boycott a few already are aware of its reputation
