Impressive boozer, pretty much packed to the rafters every time I'm in there, and always a great buzz to the place. Beer is always beautifully kept and the food is brilliant, well worth a visit. rowlaw - 2 Jun 2010 23:55
It's a bit small - like being in a small boat. Although there's nothing wrong with the pub - the much talked-about food is OK - it does seem to be missing some vital ingredient... atmosphere? mcheather - 2 Jun 2010 20:21
Great little pub, just tucked away off the western road. Warm and friendly, chatty bar staff and fantastic tunes! Ate the must amazing lamb shank. Highly recommended. lizr - 12 Apr 2010 21:54
Excellent little boozer, just had a bit of a makeover, very nice it is too! Also serves best pint of Guiness in town. Even better than the Fiddler's Elbow, which is saying something. Highly recommended! loveroy - 22 Feb 2010 14:52
Excellent local tucked away in a Hove back street. Always a superb pint of Harvey's plus a guest ale. Really friendy and efficient bar staff, and huuuge Sunday roasts (inc vegan nut roast) though I was disappointed to see it's recently gone up to nearly a tenner, which is pushing it a bit. My only reservation is the bar blokey always plays his music far too loud, which results in everyone having to shout to be heard. I go to a club or a gig for loud music, and to a pub for a pint and a civilised chat, no matter how excellent his choice of tunes may be. melita666 - 29 Sep 2009 17:43
