| Shame they had to re-name this place as it had been the Temple Bar for well over a hundred years. However, the staff seem very friendly and they've now started serving (well kept) Harveys. Very busy at weekends, but you'd expect that on the main road. Worth a visit. notters - 21 Aug 2008 19:50 |

| Re-opened as Star & Sailor minus the screens and pool tables as a gastro-type-pub and has suffered as a result. Another example of rip-off Brighton; £3.20 for Guinness and £3.10 for Becks Vier all served up with an air of indifference by the barman who was struggling to keep his eyes open. | Yes , I'd score this pub high to, nice u shape to the area, and one of the few pubs that CAN serve a top notch pint o Guiness, Food is good, very very busy on footy nights, seating is qwaint but few, Landladys very nice and is involved with the customers oftern.
