Yes it really is very good. Good quality pub food, excellent service, spacious garden. Hard to fault.

I was recently in East Hendred doing some family research and we went into the Wheatsheaf to have lunch on a wet and rainy day and had very good service and excelent food, Highy recommend the Chicken & Mushroom pie. Nice friendy atmosphere

Thjis pub has been relatively recently taken over by a very nice couple. They have worked long and hard to get the food side of the business up to scratch, and the beer is fine. It's a Greene King pub, so ales are limited, but the staff, food and service are excellent.

The Wheatsheaf is a pretty 16th Century traditional village pub set in the heart of the picturesque village of East Hendred, Oxfordshire,
only 15 minutes walk from The Ridgeway.

They welcome diners and drinkers in the bar area and whether you choose to sit in the lovely garden, by the open fires, of which they have two, or in the restaurant you will always be made welcome.
Dogs allowed in the bar.
