Good for drinks, but avoid food in there at all costs. On three occasions we have been let down (once they forgot our order, burger was raw and paper in kids pasta, not very nice experience. aiti - 16 Dec 2010 15:48
Great REAL ALES when they have them but they soon run out think they maybe only get one barrel of each guest ale at a time. For us the best is OLD EMPIRE and ABBOT RESERVE We love Curry Night which is every Thursday and its amazing you get a great tasting curry with a lot of trimmings and you can have a pint of guest ale or a glass of house wine ,all for a fiver You cant beat that anywhere, also its a great atmosphere with a good mix of youngsters and not so youngs,it can get busy at times but even if it does it is well worth the wait Heres a little tip .You can get a bowl of chips to go with your curry for 50p but you wont find it on the menu (Not a lot of people know that) clanhouse - 29 Dec 2009 10:35
Bog standard Wetherspoons pub, cheap but there are better pubs in the town. Strange assortment of characters - bookies runners, tobacco sellers, the trenchcoat brigade. Rogthereanimator - 10 Aug 2009 14:07
As the other reviewers say, this is a typical Wetherspoon's pub but the book-lined upper bar is definitely worth a visit. mpeteracmoor - 23 Dec 2008 21:26
I stayed in Kettering last weekend and visited this pub with my dad. We both enjoyed the hospitality and the ale and food were great. robhealy - 16 Sep 2008 00:19
