The new people did not last more than a few weeks before walking out, having discovered that all that was not as it seemed. They had been intending to buy the lease, but never completed. So it is as it was, with original owners back in charge and a future uncertain.

Under new ownership as of last week. Only two real ales on but both Surrey Hills and Long Man were in good shape. Once the new people have settled in hopefully the range will be restored.

We've been twice recently. prices have gone up and we were the only customers. Out of 6 handpulls 3 were turned round, soon to be 4 as my pint wasn't good. It was exchanged without question for another beer. The ploughmans is excellent. The landlord said he has had the beer from the new brewery in Wormley but so far I've been unlucky. Lovely place, just a bit pricey now which won't increase the profits if it's as empty as the day we went.

Good choice of ales - Shere Drop was very good.

Great pub with an interesting range of local micros. Excellent ploughmans with home made pork pie along with lots of other tempting cheeses. Went on to local national trust Oakhurst cottage which is well worth a visit but book first.
