By far one of the better pubs in this area, we have stopped here on a regular basis in the last two years, never disappointed. Food and garden, superb and reasonably priced. FAB1 - 4 Oct 2009 17:45
What a gem of a place!!!! Sunday Roast to perfection, friendly people, what more could you wish for? The barman in the stripe shirt provided us with excellent service and even catered for our dog! Well worth a visit, but please, keep this secret place to yourselves. mrwarwick - 24 Aug 2009 09:56
Good pub let down by the choice of beers. Sadly this is down to the brewery not the Landlord and Landlady. The food was excellent and I would recommend this pub to all locals. Beers were Spitfire (very drinkable) and Green King IPA (I don't like the company policy so I don't touch the stuff). Don't let the beer choice put you off. Mine host get top marks. We were looked after like Royalty. inkywebber - 21 Aug 2009 01:29

We ate here at the weekend, and in all honestly, I can't remember when we had such good, hearty, home-cooked lunches in a pub. The pastry on my excellent chicken and ham pie was obviously home-made, and my wife's nut roast I would have gladly eaten myself, but I'm no 'veggie'. Beer and wine also very good. Pricewise, the whole thing was very reasonable. I took the trouble to compliment the chef, who turned out to be a delightful lady, who does the cooking with her sister, and they were most appreciative of my comments. I'd like to keep this little gem to myself, so please don't go there and spoil it. michael_winnah - 21 Jul 2009 13:37
