A brilliant pub with the added extra of trying to cross the road (the pub is on a roundabout) when plastered at the end of the night!
Good cheap drinks. If you like footie then the big screens are always showing the games so if you don't best to avoid during this time but go there whenever games aren't on.
Amazing juke box too.

Good for live football especially if you follow the Tims as its the HQ for the Plymouth Celtic supporters club. Rangers shirts NOT recommended on match days. Agree with James - only other pub on the Plain worth visiting after the Fort.

Decent pub, if a little rough. Along with the Fortesque the only traditional pub left on Mutley Plain. Not that there were ever a lot of them but with the recent influx of Weatherspoons', Hogshead's and the various student bars that pop up every 10 metres you could be forgiven for thinking that Mutley Plain has always been the Mecca of Plymouth drinking. It hasn't, blame the university, but it's certainly brightened this area up.
Good for: pool, proper drinking, being able to hear each other speak, avoiding the drunken Janners in the Mutley Tavern and the students in Goodbody's. But not as good as the Fortesque

Good pub, friendly atmosphere, nice ladies on the bar, pool table, generally a break from the "studenty" pubs around Plymouth
