A passable alternative to the usual Mutley fare. Offers the standard dismal selection of beers, but for decent prices. plymouthpirate - 29 Dec 2008 17:20
I have never seen any bother in this pub to be fair because, on a live gig night, no-one cares what you look like UNLESS you are a chav - they quickly get glared at (as indeed they should with their inability to handle more than 1 pint of chemical enhanced urine with fizz) Beer is OK, music is better although the Diamond Geezers are about as enjoyable as stapling your tongue to a bus drivers arse. Generally I have been to some good nights there... paulio1966 - 8 Jun 2008 22:04
Despite the barman trying to palm off our "any real ale?" request with "we do the creamy bitter", all the standard glugs on offer here are well preserved and delivered. Plenty of well-situated features(pool table, big stage) too. Soon fills up. Only a lick of paint away from getting into the big marks. I'd rather ram my cochleae through my skull with a fruit knife than hear the Diamond Geezers (clodhopping-obvious-cover house band) again getsit - 17 Mar 2008 23:01
Visited plymouth for the weekend, the highlight being the cracking music (the blackfoots) on st.patricks day 2007. Crowded, but not horribly so, as you could still attempt to dance without the fear of inadvertently molesting a passer-by. buttonmuffin - 4 Apr 2007 22:00
