Small but very friendly pub just down from the Curry Mile. Didn't really know what to expect, but was made to feel very welcome. Does an excellent and reasonably priced pint of Hydes, and the City decor is great. Great place to meet for a pint. Highly recommended

As a student I used to live just around the corner and given the not unreasonable hostility to blanket-sucking student scum I was very pleasantly surprised how welcome we were made. The beer was superb, too That was many years ago and, although the place has had a major refurb, the friendliness and quality of the place has endured.

I hope it survives the loss of the Man City trade. It well merits a visit.

Decent Hydes bitter at very low prices, as well as a friendly atmosphere for a quiet pint during the week. Definitely a good venue for the "authentic" (ie real Rovers Return) Mancunian backstreet pub experience.

Definitely in touch with the area's Manchester City FC history judging by the pictures. <a href="http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=ClubPhilverney&Number=72430&Searchpage=1&Main=71342&Words=+biguana&topic=&Search=true#Post72430">Picture here</href>.
