Great choice of beers, unfortunately only got there about an hour before closing so could only try two, the Jack's Pale Ale and Red Stag, both very well kept, and served by a knowledgable barman. nice interior with hops decorating the bar. Big garden with plenty of seating. I was in Cheltenham visiting friends, and will definitely return to this pub next time. Highly reccommended.

Used to be a right dump this place years ago, but GBG in hand we popped in after a long, long time the night before Xmas Eve. What an excellent transformation, and what a great place it is now. The place was rammed with folk from all ages, family groups, locals and Uncle Tom Cobberley and all.

Excellent choice of ales, many from small regional breweries, and non of them overly strong. I had one from the Arbor Brewery in Bristol, a single hop beer Motueka, made unsurprisingly from the New Zealand Motueka hop. Excellent crisp, clean, citrusy beer. The pub is also big on craft ciders and cider's undeservedly lesser cousin, perrys. I think there were at least five different choices on offer here. Run by a young and enthusiastic team, this place shows just what can be done with a little love and attention for your craft.

Excellent.

Excellent selection of good ales well kept. And astoundingly well priced - £2.50 for Otter and a Pacific Gem! Very wide range of draft ciders too.

Service very prompt, efficient and quite friendly.

In terms of atmosphere, the nearby Beehive suits me better - but this is a good stop on the way there or from.

Terraced (in a very Cheltenham way) pub with stupendously top quality beers at very keen prices.

Busy back street pub.
Superb choice of Real ales.
Good atmosphere and well worth a visit.
Don't arrive at last orders though as they are very quick to close up.
