| My first pint on a roasting hot Saturday afternoon was here after being let down by the Rose & Crown nearby. A very tidy and traditional street corner local's pub it does exactly what it say on the tin: nothing flash but decent srvice aand a nice cold pint of Stowford Press at a fairly pricy £3.60. The tables out front were useful enough for a cigarette but there is too much busy traffic passing for a relaxing pint. | Took my folks here for a Sunday roast after walking out of the "real ale dry" KIngs Arms. Rather tired looking pub inside and out, but food and ale was good. Tried the Old Speckled Hen, but Bass and Greene King IPA also available. Oh and take cash with you as neither debit nor credit cards are accepted. triumph - 31 Jan 2010 20:17 |
