| Tring's Side Pocket wasn't as good as in other local pubs but otherwise very friendly pub and good "home" cooking. Scridian - 30 Dec 2009 12:29 |
| Good selection of well kept ale with Batemans Autumn Fall,Victory,London Pride and Tring Brewery Side Pocket.Judging by the collection of pump clips ,some interesting ale has been quaffed here. The interior is small with two drinking area either side of the front door. The furniture looks to have been purchased from the administrator to Little Chef , the seperate conservatory lacks atmosphere and there are few original features internally but this is more than made up for by the friendly welcome and convivial banter from a pub well used by locals.Dogs welcome when the bar is quiet and there is a good sized garden.Home cooked standard pub grub .Deserves its GBG listing. | almost PEFRECT.....fantastic staff and landlady is friendly and fun, food was superb and my family had a fantastic day(and i mean 'day',we were very settled for quite some time, the children were welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed playing on the tractor in the back as well as looking at the birds in the pub avery), top marks, would reccomend this pub to anybody looking for a good meal with good beer and lovely people. mr.boozey - 15 Sep 2009 13:58 |
