During my recent visit here I received a very polite service and found a nice comfy seat to watch some football on a big plasma screen and read my newspaper. There was also another big plasma and various normal TV sets dotted around the pub. It was very quite with four people sitting at the bar and two people playing on the pool table. There’s a choice of very bog standard lagers and Greene King IPA, which is not very imaginative. The smoking area advertised at the rear of the building is actually a car park with two benches in it overlooking Asda. There were another 2 old Irish gentlemen sitting outside bringing the grand total of people in the pub to eight, one of which was the barmaid and another I think was the landlady. Something that I have never seen before were the smoking heaters that cost 20p for 5 minutes and £1 for 25 minutes… Whatever next? I didn’t have an awful time, but this is not a great boozer and I’ll probably never return as there are far better places nearby. Strongers - 8 May 2008 11:14

Completely devoid of atmosphere. Was here on Saturday and there were 4 or 5 people sitting at the bar on their own watching the football. Nobody was talking, it was weird steve_on_tour - 3 Mar 2008 09:18

I went in here again tonight to see If it was just the bank holiday weekend that it was so quiet. So on the way home from work tonight I just went in for a quick pint and Oh dear its not got any better the Guinness was terrible & there was Just Two customers In the place why has someone turned a good Irish style Pub into a cheap Chinese Restaurant with Expensive Beer and no atmosphere whatsoever. This place used to be busy every night of the week now its deserted. Alesonly - 5 Sep 2007 19:46
