Have been here a few times now and always had a friendly welcome. Ale is usually very good, Speckled hen £3.06 (cheap). The food has always been good value. I can't see why its not more popular than it is.

Visited the Queens Head on a Saturday evening, having visited the Onslow Arms first.

Very busy at 8pm, the landlord was friendly & welcoming but the pub is very much focused on food.

Had a pint of Shere Drop.

The area is front of the bar is quite cosy as it only really has room for a single row of people. This is also the route through to the garden and toilets, so can become quite congested.

Toilets were clean and there is a garden & car park to the rear of the pub.

Still doesn't accept card, cash only. Bartender advised that the credit card machine was coming next week...

£2.50 for a pint of soda water and splash of lime? hmmmmm

My two Shere Drop's with a Sunday lunch were pleasant. Bust slightly cramped eating area. Quick and efficient staff. Possibly geared more towards food which was OK .

Lovely 16th Century traditional pub with a good selection of real ales. Good to see they sell a local pint (Sheer Drop) as well!

Great food, especially the pies!

Welcoming and friendly, will be definately going back. Well worth a visit.
