Shere Drop (£3.40), Doom Bar and Young's Ordinary. Traditional pub, inglenook fireplace. Hadn't been in here for years but decent enough.

Shere Drop in good condition. Courage and Youngs ordinary also on. Not bad choice for a quiet Monday lunchtime.
Food alright and I'd visit again, but I wouldn't rush.

Hey, cb2k4, whatever you had to drink at the Onslow Arms, I want some too! This is the Bull's Head page, not the Queen's Head! ;>)

Have been here a few times now and always had a friendly welcome. Ale is usually very good, Speckled hen £3.06 (cheap). The food has always been good value. I can't see why its not more popular than it is.

Visited the Queens Head on a Saturday evening, having visited the Onslow Arms first.
Very busy at 8pm, the landlord was friendly & welcoming but the pub is very much focused on food.
Had a pint of Shere Drop.
The area is front of the bar is quite cosy as it only really has room for a single row of people. This is also the route through to the garden and toilets, so can become quite congested.
Toilets were clean and there is a garden & car park to the rear of the pub.
Still doesn't accept card, cash only. Bartender advised that the credit card machine was coming next week...

£2.50 for a pint of soda water and splash of lime? hmmmmm

My two Shere Drop's with a Sunday lunch were pleasant. Bust slightly cramped eating area. Quick and efficient staff. Possibly geared more towards food which was OK .

Lovely 16th Century traditional pub with a good selection of real ales. Good to see they sell a local pint (Sheer Drop) as well!
Great food, especially the pies!
Welcoming and friendly, will be definately going back. Well worth a visit.

This pub used to be a lively friendly pub a few years ago, shame it has changed they seem to only want the eaters in and not the evening drinkers. Management a bit up themselves in my opinion.5/10

Went there in August. Landlord intent on proving that he is not the friendliest tool in the box. Food very tasty, especially the home made pie. Beer in good condition. But the place has got a bit of a hangover feel. Not your lively, chatty local. About six people left at half-nine on a Friday - is this the norm? This pub does NOT accept plastic but will accept cheques!!

Seemed like a nice friendly locals places - only went there cos the Queen's Head was closed for the evening - but no regrets nice country place full of life.

Good, honest country pub. Home cooking - pies a speciality and Courage ales and Speckled Hen. Landlady very friendly and welcoming, landlord less so! Pool table.

Closes at 2 and re-opens at 5.30. Hope the info helps
