| It passed a visit, the bar lady who served me was pleasant enough, but can def see the gloomy atmosphere in this place. there was some loud youngsters at the bar on my visit and one of the bar staff guys was def taking his time chatting to them Good do better but if you've got a bit of tolerance isn't bad bad the_original_rawnsleys - 13 Aug 2007 15:58 |
| I took my mother to this pub one Sunday some years ago and it was clean and nice and had all the things that would please an old lady. I paid a return visit on another Sunday recently (thankfully without mother) and the place is a hell-hole. The only people I'd want to bring here are those in a demolition unit. The pub is noisy with TV and unruly kids, stuffing is creeping out of the seats, the place looked grubby, the drinks were expensive, the bar staff looked as friendly as a death squad, the food looked (on other people's tables) as if it might induce vomiting, and the other customers either looked like they had made a dreadful mistake in coming here or were right at home in this sink-hole. This pub is a total chav city benefit toilet, and I couldn't wait to airlift me and the wife outta there and get some tetanus shots. Codrotten - 11 May 2007 09:38 |

| Lovelylady, we met some friends there last week and couldn't agree more. The manager and staff have changed. Customer service is not apparent, we were ignored so many times waiting for a drink that it ended in an argument with the agrogant barman who told me that he wasn't serving the part of the bar I was standing at. Our food was served on a cold plate and the potatoes were rock hard and probably off. The four steaks varied in size and were not cooked as we had asked. Loads of unsupervised and screaming kids were running about. One kid even took chips off my friends plate. Total chav city, avoid this pub with a wide berth lolo9801 - 27 Jun 2006 20:23 |
