This is a good pub. They modernised it a wee bit not too long ago but it still feels pretty traditional and maintains a proper London pub character.

They've got 3 or 4 screens so its excellent for football watching but still a good place to have a drink regardless.

The landlord seems a decent guy too and keen to keep it right.

The best pub in central Hammersmith in my view and the comments from Aug 2012 do not do the current establishment justice.

Poor drinks, generally unwelcoming and sometimes slightly intimidating atmosphere, theres a reason why a pub in such a visible location is always mostly empty.

Bar staff care little for those who are not regulars, and regulars care little for outsiders invading their haunt. Blaring music played at ear-splitting volume, you seemingly arent allowed to play on the pool table unless a committee of regulars says so, and will be eyed suspiciously as you enjoy your drink.

Used to survive on the trade from the Hammersmith Palais; now I am unsure how this pub continues to survive. It would be no loss whatsoever to the world if it didnt.

Main attraction here is the Thai food, very good, close one between here and Latymers on Hammersmith Road as to where it's better. Pub is nice enough but there are better ones nearby.

Above average pub with friendly service on my last visit. I'd say it's one of the better pubs in Hammersmith, particularly at the bar area. There's also an extended seating area with a pool table which feels a little more on the restaurant side. On the whole though a nice pub, certainly better than the Fire Station nearby.

I was served an undrinkable pint of Greene King IPA in here and ended up swapping it for an Old Speckled Hen which was ok. There is also a selection of standard lagers alongside Peroni.

Since my last visit ten or so years ago they have added an extension onto the side which has tripled the size of the pub and made it a little brighter. Unfortunately I think that a little bit of the charm has gone, but it is still a decent pub.

I counted three plasma screens dotted around and there is also a pool table at the back of the extension. To my horror I discovered that my once much loved dart board had vanished.

The barmaid was nice enough and the crowd seemed friendly so you could do a lot worse than giving this pub a try.
