| £3.40 for a pint of guinness is a bit pricey for out of town.Felt this pub is a bit clannish ie.not friendly with outsiders.Still,the guinness was good but I can't understand why bar staff cannot look at tables to see if anyone is ready to order another drink.There were only a dozen customers and 2 bar staff.I will not be returning. abitfriendly - 10 Aug 2010 08:37 |
| I think that this is the best pub out of the five or six in New Barnet. The pub was busy, but I was served promptly in a friendly manner. Young’s Ordinary, Eagle IPA, and Bombardier were all available along with standard lagers. The crowd was mixed and seemed very nice and the pub has Sky and Setanta that is shown on numerous plasma screens, there are even a couple on the wall of the urinals so that you don’t have to miss a kick when nature calls. | This is a well run pub, very efficient and friendly staff. The home cooked food is excellent especially the roast dinners. Great beer and atmosphere, well equipped for us smokers especially the outside screen. worth a visit barnethertfordshire2008 - 2 Jun 2008 13:35 |
