user reviews of the Slug and Lettuce, Oxford Circus

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Seven or eight years ago I would be seen in here quite often. Not through choice, it just happened to be my mates meeting pub before hitting the city. Not a lot has changed as it is still the same lacklustre Slug with expensive premium lagers and uninterested staff. In fact the only difference I noticed was that the toilets smelt a lot more yeasty.

Iíve promised myself not to ever go in here again.

Typical Slug and Lettuce, full of suits. Downstairs was very tedious, although I was at a function upstairs which wasn't so bad. Prices astonomical!

Efficient but no atmosphere whatsover, at least when I was in there. No character to these chain bars. Shame.

Went there last Friday nite with a few colleagues and the atmosphere of the pub was very poor, it had very dim lighting and very boring back ground music which sends you to sleep.

Very clean, friendly and efficient staff. Good food and drink at reasonable prices. Great (changing) atmosphere throughout the day. Worth a visit, although it's very busy at lunch.
