What the hell has happened to this pub? Since Matt (the previous landlord) left, it has gone to the dogs. Bar staff have all changed. I remember curteous and polite barmaids/men, but no more. There is always a problem with overflooding in loos, bar staff are downright scruffy and the atmosphere has really changed for the worst. Come back Matt all is forgiven!! anonymous - 19 Mar 2007 01:47
Surprisingly good for a pub this close to Oxford Circus. A couple of decent enough ales (Greene King IPA and Adnams Broadside on my last visit) and some good food to much on while you're watching the footie. Recommended if only for the fact that if there are two football matches (e.g. Champions' League) on they'll at least show one featuring a team from London. Unlike all the other Manc/Scouser-pleasing cr*pholes in central London. burnsy - 14 Feb 2007 13:58
A 'sporty' bar for live screen sporting events. Fantastic for office workers in Oxford Circus area, and City slickers alike! Where footy fans rub shoulders with the briefcase &bowler brigade! A stones throw from Soho, handy for Savile Row, and not far from Piccadilly Circus. A long thin bar, with a couple of Tv screens, a couple of nooks (for clandestine liaisons)! and pub food available until 9pm. It can get v.smokey when busy, so for that reason I can only give it 6/10. TJ TeeJay - 11 Dec 2006 22:39
