| Been coming to this pub for years now as its so much better than those on Clapham high street that tend to be full of people who resemble a sasquatch. The place also has a great upstairs room for hire, I think called the 'David Nicholls' room after a former patron who drunk here in the 1900's. Staff always friendly, good ale and beer selection, and the footy to boot, all in a top boozer in the area. baronmau - 19 Feb 2010 10:53 |
| Excellent pub. Good real ales and nice people. mooro_80 - 12 Aug 2009 12:58 |
| The Coach and Horses is a great British Public House (the kind that has made Albion famous), that serves fantastic food and drink - take note the overated and overblown Grey Goose down the road! The staff are organised, friendly and knowledgeable about the food/drink they sell. There's always good music on too! Well done to the stafff at the Coach and Horses! | As Clapham High Street continues its slow decline, thank goodness for places like this! ONscotland - 1 Jul 2008 12:09 |
| I have been using this pub as my local for a couple of years now, ever since I moved to SW4, and it has never been as good as it is now. It is clear to see the new guys really care about the place and they have managed to make the changes the pub needed without poncifying it or rendering it some horrific soul-less 'wine bar'. The food is great, the beer is great, the sport is great and the service is great. I'm not sure what more you could ask for really? As for the two people below - Nigel, should a pub have and supply schooners on the basis of a request for one perhaps once a year? And dogbear, if you can't afford to drink glasses of wine I hear Wetherspoons pubs do good cheap deals on booze, you should check one out and leave the Coach to those of us who enjoy it in there.
