Went here twice at the weekend as the pies were so good the first time.

After my disobliging review of 12 February I got a message from another Bite-er saying that I must have visited the pub under the old management and a change had made the place a lot better. Today was the first chance I had to go in to check and I am delighted to say that it is a different place.

Pretty empty when I went in around 1 pm with nobody behind the bar but a pleasant guy appeared pretty quickly and served me with a splendid pint of BXXX, or something, that went down a treat. A young lady joined him behind the bar and dealt quickly and politely with a stream of visitors, though I would have thought they deserved a bit more trade. Maybe it picks up in the eveing but Lincoln does seem to me to be a bit over-supplied with pubs. But this one deserves to do well.

Went in for the first time on a Saturday lunchtime. Nice, basic pub with real potential.
However, they served me with an "Old Rosie" scrumpy which was so watered down, even apple juice would be more alcoholic! When I queried it, a surly barman looked at me as if I was excrement and commented that "all scumpy tasted like s**t so you should be used to it".
Shame. I won't be going back. I'm sure they don't care either ... but "it's new management, they'll settle in" excuse only goes so far in the pub trade. Whoever put in the "new management" should look to their staffing policy.

We saw the landlady of the treaty in Weatherspoons on satyrday night and she was so drunk that she could not hold her glass or even walk properly she spent loads on the fruit machine before leaving with a fag in her mouth possibly lit. how she didnt fall down the steps i dont know.
