I had a recent incident with this pub and was gravely dissapointed with the service. We came in as a party of 5 and wanted to have a cosy afternoon meal, however when it came to ordering we were all refused entry into the pub due to one member of our party being 17 years of age. A legal guardian was present at the time and all members were able to show sufficient identification and we stated that we did not want to purchase alcholic beverages. As well as this there was a sign posted outside The Preston stating all children over 14 years of age were welcome to dine as long as they were accompanied by an adult.

After speaking to the duty manager and trying to find a reason for our refusal of entry she was unable to give us a valid reason for refusable and was unhelpful, there were also other children present in the pub at the time. We left feeling discriminated agaisnt and have only managed to come away with the Manager's name and head office's number to put in a further complaint.

Currently visiting a pub for every station on the London Overground. Did this for South Kenton. A typical Ember Inn pub, they are all identikit. Having said that it is a comfortable pub to have a relaxing meal in. Just very bland. As with all Ember Inns a couple of real ales on. Found this chain can be very hit and miss on condition of real ales but my pint of Copper Dragon was in good condition.

It's a great pub for meeting and chatting with friends. The background music is inoffensive and the staff are all friendly and polite. A reasonablye selection of ales, lager and wine but nothing impressive. Although i go there to meet friends after work, i wouldnt go there for a 'night out' or at the weekend. It's a little boring. So if anyone can recommend a pub nearby that's equally as non intimidating but has a pool table or entertainment i'm all ears!

hmmm been there lately and there really isn't a lot to do. A few fruities. Nice place to just sit and have a chat in but not really my taste in place as it is boring in there at times.

Been visiting this house for many years, and believe it to be run in the greatest fashion, Excellent manager, Professional staff and a fine wine selection.
