Still a good pub with a lively atmosphere but let down by poor service from barmaids (at the least the ones I have come across).

A little more 'please and thank you' wouldn't do any harm. And you don't need to throw the change back!

Great Pub, with an impressive selection of 4 well kept real ales, and a good sociable atmosphere. If you are on the Thames walk it is well worth seeking this one out, even though it is a little way from the River.

Truely the finest place to drink in Abingdon, never a hint of trouble ( which is rare in abingdon!) and super staff.

Fantastic pub. Staff are great and really friendly.

Food is only served at lunchtime (although up to 3:30pm) and is always fantasic, really good menu and excellent quality (local where they can) produce is used.

Does get quite smokey on a Friday / Saturday night and the drinks are not cheap - but that keeps out the riff-raff!!!

Great jukebox - we spend a fortune in that alone every visit.

It's now one of the most expensive pubs in town, however the selection of ales and largers justify it. Always a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, highly recommended
