Very small town pub with a nice atmosphere. Good selection of real ales. Beer seems to be well kept but only tried one, Elderwytch, which was very nice. There was also a jazz band playing when I visited. Live music regularly on Sat night.

A slightly 'alternative' interior to this historic old pub on one of Rugby's main streets. It's quite small inside and am not really a fan of sofas as a seating option in pubs (they are always too low and it's awkward to find somewhere to perch your pint) but apart from that this place is quite a friendly and amenable hostelry. Seem to have a Marston's tie and the pint of Merrie Monk I had was good. Has music on but not sure how a band would fit in to the space.
