nice pub with food all day, good selection of ales and wines, gets quite lively at the weekends with live bands on most weekends, all in all a good safe pub

I used to like this pub - it's not my all time favourite Chiswick pub (more of a George IV or Old Packhorse fan) but it always thought it was a decent enough boozer.

Has dipped quite a bit in my estimation though as I contacted them several times to try and arrange a christmas meal without a single response to voicemail, e-mail or messages left through the website.

Ah well.

I don't understand this pub's low ranking - currently "4.0/10 (rated by 40 users)" - as it seems a perfectly reasonable (if slightly anonymous) sort of place. Two real ales on (with andother handpump with its clip turned round) including a decent pint of T.E.A. from the Hogs Back Brewery. Plenty of tables in the large outdoor seating area fronting the High Street.

Awful staff - No real ale on during the test match. Told noone but the manager was allowed to put a new ale on and he wasnt at work until next day. Nice screen for sport but everything else bad
