| i popped in the other week for a beer with a manager from work and was quite shocked , havent been in here since i was 18 and after reading the comments on here i was expecting the worst , but i was pleasently surprised , wasnt full of chavs , and the beer (john smiths) was perfectly acceptable , there are much worse pubs around the area than this . didnt try the food as was only going to stop for a couple of drinks , ending up staying for 5 or 6 , the barmaid was very friendly and the locals (when i visited at least) seemed friendly overall not as bad as a lot of people on here make it out to be , i dont know what its like on a weekend when footballs on or a night time but during the day its a perfect pub for a quiet pint romfordir - 28 Feb 2009 12:00 |
