| Hadn't been in the pub for a number of years but was pleasantly surprise dwhen I popped in a few weeks ago. The barmaid was very friendly and it had a good atmosphere. Nice to see they have kept two dart boards and I had a good game of pool with some other drinkers. It appears that they have alot of pool players. All in all a nice experience and I have been back a number of times since. It did have a bad name about 3-4 years ago but it looks like that has now gone and alot of the people have changed for the better. Would recommend a good pub for a nice beer if you live pretty local. | Not a very nice pub!!! tacky union jack build into the sign (shows what the place is trying to be!!!) Usual jack the lad people drink in there from the usual alcoholics to the woman that sit at home and live off the state, drinks very expencive which makes you wonder were all the lay abouts that drink in there get there money from!!! my advice is avoid!!!! bigjob - 16 Sep 2010 15:12 |

| Great Pub, Great atmosphere. New landlady has done a brilliant job of making this a pub that you feel more than welcome in!! anonymous - 27 Jul 2007 12:03 |
| The pub has recently been taken over by a new landlady who has completely turned the place around for the better, in the short period that she's been there. The dark and dingy atmosphere no longer exists, its been redecorated to feel clean and bright.New juke box, pool table, big t.v screen and what appears to be a regular entertainment programme.Staff are lovely, friendly and very welcoming and the atmosphere is great compared to the old days.
