In here before a brewery visit. Standard range of Fullers plus Jack Frost. Fullers memorabilia around the walls. Brewery visit is certainly recommended.

Did the Brewery tour recently and had a pint before and a few after with food.
Everything about the day can only be described as excellent!

Changed management a few weeks ago, service very efficient and ales well worth a visit. They had a food tasting session recently to present their proposals for new specials. Some are very nice and as they are extending their meal availability to early evening I shall definitely be going to get the full size version.

Love this pub! Having lived in the area for a year or so, it is a great venue to go for a quiet pint when wanting to get away from the more 'trendy' and crowded bars/pubs. Very cosy, and the staff are friendly enough.
As random as it is, the thai rest. in the back is great - and the head waiter guy has the most contagious smile ever.

More of a traditional boozer than others in the area - but with a Thai restaurant at the back. Has standard Fullers beers (Discovery, Pride, ESB and Gales Winter Brew) on offer, mostly at 3.20 at pint. (Discovery was 3.10). It has three distinct bar areas and some interesting old theatre prints on the walls of one of the bars. All the beers were fine and the pub was generally clean and tidy.

Nice looking Fullers pub, with plenty of original features in the three bar areas (one of which is part of the restaurant section). Pleasant little beer garden out back. Friendly atmosphere too, and the only downside was a slightly disappointing pint of Discovery (probably just unlucky).

Very good boozer witha great little comedy club at the rear. It gets very busy at the weekend! Recommended.

nice pub, friendly staff, the door staff let it down when they are too eager to get you out at the end of night, ruins a chilled night out.
Will return, but during the day, or maybe just not stay until it closes!

A rare, traditional-ish pub among the many modern, food-centered bars along Chiswick High Road. Fuller's have obviously done the place up a bit at some stage, but it retains a good selection of alcoves and other seating areas. Also has a decent patio garden out back. Six real ales on, including an excellent pint of Discovery (which at 3.00 was a bit cheaper than I was expecting for the area).

A rancid restaurant by the river. Impossible to drink beer there unless ordering the microwaved food which has to be the worst in Chiswick. Attracts cretins by the score on sunny days and keeps them out the better pubs.

I can only praise the staff and service here. Been visiting reguarly to eat here and never been disappointed. Saying that this is supposed to be a pub review site, but The Bulls Head is more of a restaurant in my opinion.

Very good location alongside a tidal stretch of the Thames although the tranquil setting is disturbed quite frequently by the trains on the nearby railway bridge. Cosy inside with tables on different floor levels and an open fire for winter months. We have found the service to be unreliable, sometimes excellent but on a recent occasion rather poor. There was a long wait for our food to arrive even though the pub was not busy and the soup was served tepid. It's all down to the management and their staff on the day which is typical of all franchised pubs. We've found some excellent Chef and Brewer pubs but this one is currently lower down our list for dining.

Reviews by BITE users:

Bold yellow brick and tile exterior, with plenty of interesting reminders of its former life as a Youngs house. Unfortunately, most of the interior character has been stripped out during several refurbishments and it now has a fairly anonymous gasto-pub layout with the obligatory open kitchen, etc. However, it is quite light and airy, with some largeish windows, pale wood furniture and light pastel-shade paintwork on the walls. Nice little wood-burning stove towards the back. Two handpumps, with Purity Mad Goose and a good Adnams Irish Stout (at 3.40) on. As these sort of places go, not that bad.

Can't say how much I like this pub - yes, it looks as though some people (below) don't like the interior or the range of drinks, but for a great atmosphere and everything that you need to have a good time with friends I think this place takes some beating. The staf are warm, welcoming and very involved with the customers and the pub quiz on a Tuesday is brillinatly run. Top marks I say.

Now selling real ale from Purity - Purity Gold and UBU during my visit. It's now run by the same company that runs the nearby Barley Mow.

nice pub with food all day, good selection of ales and wines, gets quite lively at the weekends with live bands on most weekends, all in all a good safe pub

I used to like this pub - it's not my all time favourite Chiswick pub (more of a George IV or Old Packhorse fan) but it always thought it was a decent enough boozer.

Has dipped quite a bit in my estimation though as I contacted them several times to try and arrange a christmas meal without a single response to voicemail, e-mail or messages left through the website.

Ah well.

I don't understand this pub's low ranking - currently "4.0/10 (rated by 40 users)" - as it seems a perfectly reasonable (if slightly anonymous) sort of place. Two real ales on (with andother handpump with its clip turned round) including a decent pint of T.E.A. from the Hogs Back Brewery. Plenty of tables in the large outdoor seating area fronting the High Street.
