The Crown, Sheringham

An ok pub. Beer seemed alright but nothing special. Nice views outside and the staff were very friendly. Food was the usual pub microwave fayre but didn't claim to be anything else and was fine for what it was.

A shame but a pretty dire pub that was very good only two or three years ago the last time I visited. Heaven knows why it has gone down hill so quickly. Trying very hard to be more than it actually is and concentrating on the wrong things.

Overpriced food that they would have you believe is near silver service standard but is very average. The beer is kept very badly and over the course of a week I couldn't even claim it offered an average pint, quality varied wildly. On enquiring got one tall story after another about the reasons for this.

Outside and in the pub looks very tired and needs lots of little things sorting everywhere you look. Seems to be ingrained in the pub that it is some wonderful place offering the best around but it is definitely not. Maybe this belief is why it doesn't seem to be trying anymore?
