Seriously bad in terms of interpreting so called "rules". I had a fairly good pub meal and a bottle of wine. We retired to the bar on a tuesday night which was deserted. I pulled up a stool and ordered another glass of wine with my partner. So good so far, but half way through a nervous barman told me I couldn't sit on a stool at the bar! I asked why and he said "another stupid rule we can't explain". I've decided it's down to bad management at the pub because I live in the north east where the same chain allows one to sit at the bar and enjoy a drink, of course, we wouldn't block the bar. I'm so annoyed I will not be returning.
