Popped in for a couple on a weekday and pleasantly surprised at the choice and quality of the ale. Several local beers, though I went for the Oakham's JHB which was on good form. Pleasant enough place - friendly staff, would go back.

really not very good at all. I suppose you can say un-offensive, beer OK, food poor and expensive for what it is. If you wan this sort of thing then the Red Cow Allestree or any JDW is a better bet. 4/10

This is a souless / flat pack Ember Inns pub, which might as well be the near by Markeaton. The quality of beer is hit and miss. They usually have a couple of guest ales on which is nice for the more cultured drinker - however I have had quite possibly the worst pint of Landlord I've ever been served in here.

Not really a go to destination - more of one to visit if you are coming south bound into Derby on the way to better pubs such as the Five Lamps, Flower Pot, Silk Mill or the new Furnace Inn.

Ok for cheap offers on passable food in an emergency. Beer just adequate. Staff not particularly endearing.

I have just noticed on Derby City Council Environmental Heath website that The Broadway has a rating of ZERO stars in respect of food hygiene.

Zero stars indicates VERY POOR PERFORMANCE and GENERAL FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH FOOD SAFETY LEGISLATION.
