The Black Horse Hotel, Giggleswick

Real old fashioned pub with lots of brass. Sat next to the church and a stones throw from the public school. Beer fine and food fabulous. Went at lunch, had a starter and couldn't get through the main meal as whilst it was wonderful, the portion was more than 'genorous' to say the least. My wife, fortunately, suffered the same rather enjoyable experience. Have been before and will go again, throroughly recommended.

The Wheatsheaf, Leeds

Gone to the Great Pub Maker in The Sky - it's now occupied by a medical company.

The Shepherds Boy, Dewsbury

Nice friendly, roadside pub that belongs to the Ossett Brewery chain. Several Ossett Brewery products on sale along with guest real ales and a draught cider. Nicely furbished and very clean. Free peanuts on the bar at time of my visits. Been 3/4 times now but it's never been very busy (admittedly all my visits were outside the 'peak' times). Well worth a look.
