There are rumours that the Leadburn is to be rebuilt but no sign of any activity last time i passed.

Last time I was in (and it will be the last time), the girls at the next table were taking photos up their skirts with their phones and texting. Class!
Noisy and brash but little in the way of alternatives in this neck of the woods.

Carrick Knowe Inn, Edinburgh

Standard suburban boozer with back to back bars. A quite oasis compared to the "zoo" that St Johns Road has become at the weekend. Handy for bookie, haircut, Chinese etc...
