The Crown, Colchester

This was an outstanding pub, but has slumped in to a typical Mitchel and Butler managed ruination of British pub cuisine.
I dined there with my family and one of the dinner portions was so small I complained to the manager. The quality was less than average. I Was told, that M&B control the portions. Here we go again same M&B story that I have experienced in other M&B pubs.

The Whistle and Flute, Putney

This pub is my favorite pub in the area, the food is now outstanding, the service good and the staff friendly!!
Great spot to watch the rugby and it is always packed for the International games. Good security during the screened football games and during local football matches (Fulham/Chelsea)

The Jolly Gardners, Putney

I have stopped using this Michel and Butler pub after being served a shephards pie that was overwhelmingly potato and very little shepherd.
When I complained was told that M&B tell them what portions to serve.
This type of control will ruin any reputation that we Brits are just getting back as being able to serve decent food.
