Gordon Bennett, Tooting Broadway

Soooooo much better now the place has been done up (now called The Royal Oak). The actual place hasn't changed a great deal, with only new lick of paint and new seating happening, but it's made a great difference.

They seem to have sorted out the 'scum locals' issue now and it feels much more relaxed in there. They have a few screens in there for football, though the main screen is quite low and the high tables just in front of it means only about 4 people get a good view of it. You'll often see a few people viewing that screen and half the pub looking at 28" plasma.

Good friendly staff, the most improved pub in the Tooting strip.

A Bar 2 Far, Tooting Broadway

I think with the Tramshed and Gordon Bennett (now the Royal Oak I believe), updating themselves slightly the Bar to Far has reacted by doing up it's layout and furture -it seems to have made an improvement.

It's not a bad place and I have had fun in there, I think the large beer garden will be good for the summer and the fact it's air conditioned it good too.

They do show the football, there is only a limited area of the bar that can view the one screen.

The Tooting Tram & Social, Tooting

A pretty good place, great for the football (one MASSIVE screen and many smaller screens). The staff sometimes seem more interested in talking to their mates instead of serving people, which is a tad annoying.

The place has recently changed it's floor plan, this has resulted in quite a large non smoking area, raised slightly from the ground level.

A younger crowd in general, but I�m expecting to be a fun venue for the world cup.
