The White Swan Hotel / Good Companions bar, Stratford Upon Avon

This is a nice pub.

The accommodations for rooms on the other hand, has changed drastically in the last five years. Once upon a time, the staff was cheerful. After the last stay, we will not return.

Ownership, we were told, has changed hands. The staff was argumentative and we were charged twice for our room. The reservation was also incorrect, but the hotel clerk took more pleasure in debating the issue than correcting their error.

The Garrick Inn, Stratford Upon Avon

This is a great place if you stay in the front room. Good beer and conversation. Love the front room.

The back area is crazy-busy. Hate the back room. Last time we were there, an hour wait for meal preparation was quoted. Nothing on that menu should take more than 15 minutes. The staff was a bitt frazzled as well, and the cleanliness was poor.
