The Ark Inn, Newhaven

Went on a Bank Holiday Monday for breakfast by the river. Great service, terrific breakfast. Good setting. Nice atmosphere inside cosy, but plenty of room, and being refurbished, outside it was lovely watching the boats. Easy parking/

The Abergavenny Arms, Rodmell

We visited this pub (local to us) for our Anniversary-We had a warm welcome, and good service.
The food was well presented, the Menu had a good variety, more importantly, local produce, home cooked food..........Nothing was to much trouble, I could not have sugar in anything or carbs (turns to sugar!) and they helped me orgainise my food choices and substitute potatoes for something else.
The ambiance was lovely and relaxing, parking brilliant! All in All, highly recommended, you must visit, we will go again. Cllr Su Bratchie
