The Station Bar, Glasgow

Very impressed with this pub the staff were friendly, efficient, and well turned out. The beer was excellent, even better it was within five minutes of our hotel. Premises were clean, all in all we will be going back!

The Brewery Bar, Castle Douglas

Within the confines of the brewery a one room bar which has a very good mix of clientele. Being the brewery tap, obviously, they usually serve Sulwath brews. However during town events and mini beer festivals guest ales and sometimes ciders are available. Allen Henderson the Managing Director and Jim Henderson the General Manager are often on hand, taking time out to chat to their customers. The bar staff, who are normally very busy, are unfailingly pleasant and efficient. If it can be called a drawback the place is usually packed, but this only attests to it's popularity!

The Oxford Bar, Edinburgh

Upretentious customary Scots bar & accopanying snug. A litlle featureless and clinical for my taste. Having been in some of the more ornate of Edinburgh's hostleries not overcome by the very plain decor. However the beer was very acceptable.
