Ye Olde Monken Holt, Barnet

Best pub in the area by a country mile and much improved since the Irish guy was put in charge. Popped in last Sunday for their weekly jam night and the place was rammed. (Talent varies but usually a good mix). The food is worth trying, always fresh and very reasonable.
No idea what the previous reviewer is on about. They must be confusing a roll-up with a spliff because the staff here have eyes like hawks and you'd never get away with smoking anything illegal in their garden. Very kid friendly during the day.

The Lord Nelson, Barnet

Hidden away, rather eccentric, definitely a local pub for local people. Nautical themed oddities, a pub cat (or two, and a dog I think), plus a collection of salt and pepper shakers. Not your average boozer then but worth a visit just to have a look at the place. Food smelt a bit school dinnery but seemed to be going down well with the regulars. Ale was alright.

The Alexandra, Barnet

No idea how this place survives. It seems to have about 10 regulars who treat it as their living room. Harmless though. Needs a refurb inside and now appears to be up for sale.
