The Jolly Gardners, Putney

I'd have to agree with 'Colonel'. I, along with a lot of mates use to go here quite a lot, but it has now gone down hill...Not in respect to the beer and drinks or pub itself, but in terms of staff and service...the Jolly G's has gone down a huge hill.

I was in there the other day ordering a few beers, and the girl who was about to serve me, asked for my order, then saw someone she knew, so said to me I'll be right back, and I couldnt believe it when I saw her go hug a friend who had just come in, have a chat, then come back and serve me.

The staff in there are rude, dont seem to give a rat's, and think everyday is a halloween fancy dress contest.

If you like that kind of service then fair enough, good on you. However I've started to go for a pint elsewhere in Putney where they actually serve you, want to serve you, and want to be polite. I mean, is it that hard to be polite while serving a pint?

However on the odd occasion if I want someone to be rude to me, I might pop in for a beer, as the beer choice is good.
